INDEX. is a contemporary Artist Run Initiative in St. Peters, Sydney. Our aim is to allows artists to take risks and experiment with new work in a context that produces dialogue around the work and allows for the reflection of peers. Eight long term studios are combined with two short term project spaces to encourage the diversity of dialogue and increase the possibility of challenge or influence across both generational and disciplinary boundaries.
Our program ranges from solo and group exhibitions to developmental project space residencies, performance events, reading groups and other dialogue producing activities. INDEX. is also committed to creating connections with other local, grass roots organizations, facilitating cooperative arts and community conceived advocacy.
